Here is the result of one of our latest floor remodeling projects for one of our customers in San Diego. First of all, the customer wanted to make the house look more elegant and classic. Of course, nothing works better for that purpose than time-honored hardwood, however, another customer’s wish was as little maintenance as possible. So, we settled on laminate – it looks and feels almost like the real hardwood with the same structure and variety of color options, it is durable and firm, however, it is much less costy and one of the most undemanding flooring materials available. The laminate of different natural colors was installed almost everywhere in the house, except the places, where it can be easily damaged (near the fireplace) and where the floor gets the heaviest amount of use during the day (in the kitchen and in the hallway) – for these places we’ve used tiles.
